A 26-year old man in critical condition was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia after being attacked by a shark.
The man had been surfing on Fishery Bay, which is about 40 kilometres south of Port Lincoln National Park in south Australia, when he was suddenly attacked by the predator which tore off his limb and swam away with it, to the disbelieve of onlookers.
The surfer who is presently battling for his life, had to be resuscitated before being flown to the hospital.
Signs have been erected to warn the public about the possibility of a shark attack in the area.
