Honey I am so sorry I cheated on you.

Certainly nobody will pat their partner on the back for cheating on them, so what do you do after you have cheated on your partner, but really sorry you did in the first place and filled with all the regret in the world? do you let the cat out of the bag knowing it might cause problems which might have long term effect or just leave it in there hoping no one ever knows. (big conundrum) The experts say good and healthy relationships are built on honesty and transparency, and keeping secrets especially ones that could have an impact on your partner could be detrimental because it breaks trust if found out, and trust is principle in a relationship. On the other hand being too honest might not be the best because sometimes you need to keep some information to your self in order to protect your partner and the love you share. If you are confident the cat will never be let out of the bag, and it was just a moment of silliness that got you in that mess, it might be wise to deal with

Please put some clothes on.

You don't have to bare it all to be successful in the music industry says 31-year old Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, a  former 'girls aloud' UK pop group bandmate and X factor Judge, who is presently enjoying success after going solo. According to her, behind the music scene is dominated by men most especially older men who encourage these girls to sexualize themselves in order to sell records but this shouldn't be the case as most of these girls have all the talent which should be the primary focus.  She has however been criticised by many as being a hypocrite because she has been guilty of flashing skin in the past in scanty costumes, but she has said in her defence that although she did wear some short outfits that were quite sexy especially during her time with the band, they were meant to be fun and quirky and not in any way intended to be sexual. Cheryl Fernandez-Versini  Do as I say and not as I do?

London to Newyork by car !!!

Well anything is possible, so long you have enough resilience to see it materialize.  The president of the Russian railway corporation, Vladimir Yakunin has submitted at the moment a rather ambitious proposal to build a highway that will connect Russia to the United States of America, making it possible for people in Europe and America to travel  between the continents by car. Imagine that. It will be really interesting to see this dream come true because I believe the ability to travel between both continents by car could provide the ultimate road trip experience, although be prepared to travel for thousands of miles which could mean a lot lot more than your average bathroom stops but that not withstanding I imagine it to be fun. At the moment there are still a lot of hurdles, particularly the Bering sea which many have for over hundred years tried unsuccessfully to provide some sort of crossing over and there is the cost which could run into trillions of dollars, despite t

Russia TV makes job offer to BBC sacked Jeremy Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson surely hasn't outlived his usefulness. The BBC, producers of the successful  'top gear' show which the Guinness book of records has described as the world's most watched factual programme sacked the presenter after executives decided he crossed the line when he physically assaulted one of the show's producer's. Now a Russia military TV is making a job offer to the presenter despite all the controversies that surround him, the TV station published a letter on its website asking the presenter over to Moscow to discuss possibilities of launching a similar motor show in April. Representative of Jeremy Clarkson says the offer has been forwarded to the presenter who is considering it. To Russia or not to Russia?

Opportunity to live in Leonardo DiCaprio's million dollar mansion.

For all those interested, Star actor Leonardo DiCaprios's million dollar beach house is up for rent. The Titanic star who is long over due for an Oscar is presently away on location filming his latest project ( sorry no chance of a cup of tea with him) does not want the house vacant and so has put it up for rent. The house was purchased by the actor in 2014 for a staggering $5.2 million after being inspired by a similar house which was used for filming some of the scenes in the 'wolf of wall street' movie. The luxurious pad which is located in an enviable location in Hollywood could be yours to live in for $4,500 a night. Interested?

Does your Air Max make you smile?

Is it really the Nike Airmax that has got England's Golden boy Wayne Rooney smiling like the cat that's got the cream?. He was so excited that he took to twitter to let the whole know he just received a new pair. Or maybe he is just doing his job as a brand ambassador.

Is it wrong for an expectant mother to park in 'parents and toddler bay' ?

According to London evening standard, heavily pregnant 33-year old Asma Nadeem  was slammed with a £70 fine for parking in a parent and toddler bay at retail giant asda parking lot in east London. Smart parking, operator of the parking lot defended its action by saying the lady was not with child and so had no right to park at that spot even though Asma was only eight days away from her due date. So my question is, isn't a pregnant woman technically with child, so why couldn't the parking lot operator exercise discretion, in my opinion  pregnant women especially those in the third trimester should be given priority because they are not as able bodied and some simple activities such as walking, picking up even the lightest objects could be tiring and stressful. The supermarket however has backed down and a spokesperson apologised to the Nadeem family for the inconvenience caused, after a local paper brought the plight of the family to limelight. The attendant who issued

How to get people to be kind to you

Are people unkind to you, do you find it hard to get help when you need it, if you just answered yes to these questions, then it could be you are not following the golden rule of life which explicitly states that we treat others as we want to be treated, and therefore the key to turning things around could be in your own hands. Trust me what goes around definitely comes around. Having a pleasant disposition and showing concern for others shouldn't be such a difficult thing to do, afterall its going to be for your own good right? well, a lot of people find it difficult to be kind to others because they have been treated unkindly in the past. The problem with this is that life becomes a vicious cycle of unkindness in which you will continue to be trapped unless you break the cycle with acts of kindness to others despite what you may have experienced. I understand breaking this cycle might be easier said than done because no man wants to be the fool, I mean why should I be show

Transform your basic kale into a happy meal.

The importance of having vegetable as a part of our main diet cannot be overemphasised as they provide essential vitamins and minerals in important quantities as well as a good deal of roughages.   Vegetables can now be frozen, dehydrated and canned making it very convenient for use though these processed vegetables still contain the necessary minerals and vitamins often times there is the case of them loosing vitamin C, so its important that you try as much as possible to eat fresh vegetables in order to get the maximum benefit.    Individual vegetables have their own quality indicator but in general when purchasing leafy vegetables, always ensure they are green and not yellow, they have not been bruised  and because most vegetables do not store well, avoid purchasing in large quantities to prevent wastage.   Some people add bicarbonate of soda to their vegetables when cooking as it is thought this brings out the green colour, well the thing about adding bica

Are you stylish?

Being stylish does not necessarily mean being expensive, in my opinion its about how well you are able to create a distinctive appealing look with what you have. The ability to create that distinctive look which captivates everyone actually does start from within, How you carry yourself, talk, do things, I mean general mannerism can not be overlooked in the quest to being stylish. Then we come to  your dress sense, how do you wear your clothes? do you dress to flatter your body or you simply wear stuff because they are in vogue, well, to be able to project that stylish image you need to learn how to dress your body and for every occasion. Learn how to work colours and patterns to your advantage without necessarily breaking the bank. Scarf and shoes pictured below from  ebay

Concert promoter AEG not responsible for Micheal Jackson's death

A court in California has ruled that concert promoter  AEG is by no means responsible for the death of pop legend Michael Jackson. It can be recalled that Michael died after being administered a powerful dose of anaesthetics Propofol due to his inability to sleep. Katherine Jackson, mum to the late pop star sued the concert promoters for negligence because it is believed they hired Dr Conrad Murray who had administered the drug, although Dr Murray was charged and sentenced to four years in prison for involuntary man slaughter, Michael's mum believed the concert promoters ought to be held liable for hiring and not monitoring the doctor who caused her son's death. The concert promoters were sued for up to $1.6 billion for the damages and loss of income their negligence caused. The court ruled in favour of AEG because although they had hired the doctor they were not directly responsible for how he saw fit to treat the late singer for insomnia because the doctor was fit for

How far would you go to help your child pass an exam?

Most parents would do all they can to help their kids improve their exam grades, but would you go as far as scaling a fence to hand your child a cheat sheet? well strange as it may sound that seem to have been the case in an exam centre in Saran in Chhapra district in India. Most pupils face tremendous pressure during their 10th and 12th grades exam in India because they must pass the exams to be able to continue with their education and in a desperate move to ensure the continuity of their kids education , some parents and guardians were caught on camera scaling school fence and walls to hand over cheat sheets to their kids, although around 600 school students have been suspended for this act. Well I really don't blame them, you know what they say 'desperate times call for desperate measures'. I believe these parents are doing this because of high level of failure of this exam and  in my opinion,  this case should not be treated in isolation by just punishing thos

Tiger leaps to death from 11th floor apartment in China

News according to Chinese state media is that an endangered Siberian tiger has leapt to its death from an 11th floor apartment in eastern China. The answer to what an endangered specie of tigers were doing in an apartment lie with Three men. Yang Wenzheng, Zhang Fucai, and Cui Jingguay have all been held responsible and have been fined for illegally rearing eight tigers in their apartment. DIVORCE: THE ACHILLES HEEL OF THE WORLD POWERS?

Article written by Emmanuel Obazuaye. Few countries of the world are tagged world powers because of the strong grip they possess and level of control they exhibit over international affairs. The high level of internal prosperity, civilization, growth and development of these countries cause the lesser countries to depend and look up to these so called powers for guidance and directions. However, there is the nagging question constantly bugging me, are these so called world powers totally invincible? I mean how much longer can they hold on? as they all seem to be turning a blind eye on what in my opinion is society's number one enemy DIVORCE. Divorce has actually become a canker-worm eating away the fabric of these nations. Families which I tag 'micro societies' come together to make the larger society, which they build to an enviable level and work very hard to ensure the survival of this successful society but i am afraid the hard work is being undone ignoran

Pharell Williams looses to late mavin Gaye's Family

Pharell Williams, Robin thick and rapper T.I made over $16 million from the hit song ''Blurred lines'' in 2013, but behind the scene there have been a legal battle going on over copyrights infringements. The children of late Marvin Gaye sued the musicians over copyright infringements alleging the lyrics of the song blurred lines were copied from their father's 70's hit song ''Got to give it Up''. In Court Robin Thick confirmed he didn't write the song while Pharell said he crafted the song under one hour. Marvin Gaye ( the sexual healing crooner ) died in 1984 leaving the copyright ownership of his songs to his children, Nona Gaye, Marvin Pentz Gaye and Frankie Gaye.   The jury after hearing the case in a Los Angeles court decided that Pharell and Co breached copyright infringements and the judge awarded a settlement of over $7 million to Marvin Gaye's Children. Pharell Williams said he crafted the song in just under an hour

Is this the end of Jeremy Clarkson ?

BBC has indefinitely suspended Top gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson after what it described as a ''fracas'' between the presenter and one of the shows producers, so the show will not be aired this coming Sunday as scheduled. Controversial Jeremy Clarkson one the three presenters of the highly successful BBC show about innovations in the Motor Industry was not too long ago accused by the Daily mirror of using racists words while reciting a rhyme during one of the shows which was not aired. An allegation he denied initially but later apologized for, after the news paper provided evidence that he did indeed use the racist word. The 54-year old outspoken presenter has also been accused of several offensive comments made during the show which have seen a number of complaints filed against him much so that Harriet Harman, deputy leader of the labour party even called for his sack.   He said on the Sun newspaper where he has a weekly column that the BBC firmly tol

Hope for Sierra Leone star athlete stranded in the UK.

Jimmy Thoronka, 20, came into the UK to represent his home country Sierra Leone in the 100 meters sprint at the 2014 Commonwealth games hosted by Glasgow. A brilliant sprinter and the first to carry the queen's baton in Sierra Leone vanished after the games and his whereabouts remained unknown until his was arrested for overstaying his visa after been found living rough on the streets of London.   Under normal circumstances the home office would deport individuals found to have overstayed their visas but Jimmy's case make quite a compelling story because of the state of affairs back at his home country Sierra Leone. The country is among the worst hit by the Ebola virus which claimed thousands of lives in West Africa and reports are, the athlete has lost his family after the virus claimed the lives of both his adopted mum and siblings (lost his biological parents in the civil war that ravaged his country between 1991 and 2002).  Jimmy who has the potential of becoming a w

Card processing fees to be capped.

News according to the BBC is that European Parliament is planning to implement reforms that will place a cap on how much Card Schemes charge for processing card payments. Using our debit/credit card to pay for goods and services to a number us is a very simple and straight forward process (Put your card in, enter pin and... payment accepted.) The Reality is that a lot of administrative work go on behind the scene and someone has to bear the cost of making this happen hence the fees.  At the moment Visa and MasterCard charge business owners a fee (which is passed on to us) for  processing card payments on behalf of their customers. It takes five steps to actually process a card payment 1. Card-holder slots card into retailer's chip and pin device and enter pin. 2. Retailer transmit card details through the telephone line attached to it's chip and pin device to an acquirer. 3. Acquirer (The company responsible for processing card details, which

Owner of Newcastle united Football club could be £117m richer

Mike Ashley the boss of Newcastle football club an English football club he purchased in 2007 with around £135m decided to reduce his majority stake in the giant retail sportswear shop Sports direct by about 2.6 percent. The deal involving US bank Goldman Sachs netted the billionaire retail tycoon a whooping £117m, however there are reports the money could be given as loan to Scottish football club - Rangers International where Mr Ashley has also got a stake. 50 years old Mike Ashley first started sports direct as a local sports and ski shop in Maidenhead England in the 80's and before long the retail shop funded by private funds become a major success opening up other outlets across the country, The sportswear shop went PLC in 1999 and his remaining stake which is 55 percent is rumoured to be worth £2.4b.  Mike Ashley is a very private and easy going man not one to grant interviews  often seen to be seated with fans during Newcastle games and also  known to carry work docume

Oh dear they thought they had cocaine.

This is according to the Independent news quite funny actually. A group of teenagers got more than they bargained for after discovering the white powdery substance they had stolen mistaking to be cocaine was actually the cremated remains of the home owner's father. The trio aged 17,16 and 15 burgled a house in St Peter's Missouri carting away jewellery, cash, prescription drugs, an Xbox 360 and of course the supposed cocaine. They later discovered part of their loot wasn't cocaine but actually a dead man's ashes when one of them attempted to taste the powdery substance to confirm it was the real deal. Police were able to track them down through an IP address used on the stolen Xbox 360, the boys revealed to the police that had decided to burgle the house after they saw a post on Facebook by one the family members known to them saying the family was going away from home.

British airways is No 1 super brand in uk

British Airways the official airline partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games continue to dominate for the second year running as it is voted both the best consumer and business brand in the UK by a panel of marketing experts and 2,000 business professional.   Well I guess most people in the UK identify with the company which was birthed in 1974 from the merger of four existing companies, the British Overseas Airways Cooperation, British European Airways, Cambrian Airways and Northeast  Airlines perhaps because it is the official flag carrier of the united kingdom and also the biggest in terms of fleet size and so its a thing of national pride.  Not that I want to rain on any one's parade as I can't say exactly what the yardstick for measurement  was, all I can say from a personal point of view is that I don't think British Airways customer service is top notch especially outside the UK. Some of their ticketing staffs as well as some of the Air-stewards

Lessons from award winning actress Lupita Nyongo'o Dress

So the dress award winning actress Lupita Nyongo'o wore to the just concluded Oscar is not after all what we all thought it to be. When news broke that the dress had been stolen from the actress' London west Hollywood hotel room, reports that the specially hand crafted Calvin Klein designed dress was worth around $150,000 made the news all sensational but after a few days the thieves returned the dress back to the hotel with claims that the pearls were fake and not worth what we had been led to believe. This reminded me of a saying I once heard  'if you call your cloth a piece of rag people will feel free to wipe the floor with it but if you say it is sacred they will ask your permission before touching'.  Life and events are all about packaging and marketing  and  most  things are not actually worth the value we have been led to believe.  You don't have to own a million dollars before you can present yourself as being worthy, Respect and place value on yours

About mortgages.

A mortgage in basic term is a loan given an individual or corporate body by a financial services provider, usually a bank or building society for the specific purpose of purchasing a property. This type of loan is called a secured loan because in essence you put down the property as security. Your bank or building society lend you the money on the basis that you pay back over a certain number of years ( depending on the agreement you strike) and if you are unable to keep up with the repayments as agreed, then your lender has every right following a legal process to repossess  the property and sell it in order to get back the money borrowed you. Committing to a mortgage is a very huge responsibility to take on and before you take the plunge bear in mind that the experts suggest you borrow wisely. This means that you should realistically work out how much you can afford to put into mortgage repayments now and in the future. The base rate (the rate at which the bank of

Thinking about a mortgage?

The fact that the low interest rate has presently made borrowing cheaper coupled with the government's help to buy scheme does not mean that every mortgage application is automatically accepted. In April 2014, there was a major shift in the UK mortgage industry. The mortgage market review  (MMR) came into play and this means that from henceforth lenders will have to act responsibly toward their borrowers. This in essence means lenders will not only take your income into consideration when accessing your application but will also have to look at your expenditure, so before you apply it might be wise to take time to overhaul your finances. You could start off by paying of debts owed, start exercising discipline and trim down your expenses. Certainly not every thing you spend money on at the moment is a need, you can start the journey by planning way ahead of time get an appointment with a mortgage adviser if need be to help you work things out.  In all of this remember mor

Three strokes of the cane for German nationals

Two young German nationals visiting Singapore got nine months jail term and 3 strokes of the cane each after pleading guilty to vandalism and trespassing, both admitted to spray painting a metro train in the city known for it's zero tolerance to vandalism.  Andreas Von Knorre, 22 and Elton Hinz, 21 were both arrested in Malaysia en-route Australia having fled Singapore after the incident, they had to face the full wrath of the law despite pleading for mercy before the judge and calling their act a stupid mistake which they both regretted. It can be recalled that Singapore vandalism law made headline news globally after American teenager Michael Fay was canned for vandalising public properties despite pleas for clemency by the then president of America Bill Clinton. .

Singapore is top spot to enjoy quality life in Asia

Singapore is the No 1 spot to enjoy quality life in Asia, although it is considered to be the most expensive city to live in the world this does prove it offers value for money.  According to Mercer the group that conducts the Annual quality of life survey to help multinational organisation appropriately compensate employees when placing them on international assignments, of the 230 countries assessed Singapore ranked 26th overall while claiming the top spot in Asia with Tokyo in Japan coming out 2nd in Asia and 44th  globally. Singapore the best place to enjoy quality life in Asia Vienna best city to enjoy quality life  in the world

The mission to end coal powered stations.

The leaders of the three main political parties in the UK recently got together and signed up to reduce carbon emission although no clear cut out plan as to how this will be achieved yet. Campaigners such as Greenpeace and Oxfam are campaigning to shut down coal power stations within nine years. It is thought that coal fired plants are the biggest source of man made carbon emissions making it the single biggest threat to climate change and failure to close these plants would undo the works being done to tackle climate change.  However it does seem a lot of Governments are keen to hang on to the use of coal for as long as possible because: A lot of countries produce  coal  locally with no need for import Coal is by far cheaper as a source of energy than the likes of oil, natural gas, etc. There is the guarantee of a stable supply unlike other source of energy prone to scarcity. Coal production does provide jobs to a lot of people who might be left jobless should these plants be s

No more excuses

People often get discouraged by how much time it will take to achieve their dreams and goals. I would love to be a doctor someday but I don't know if I can spend six years of my life studying to become a doctor, What they fail to realize is, what ever they decide the six years will come and go and then they look back with regret and say had I known I would have started that programme six years ago. Time will never wait for you to finally make up your mind, decide what you want go for it and never let the amount of time you will spend on it matter as long as it will be worthwhile in the end. Remember whatever you decide, procrastinate or get moving time will pass it never slows down or stops for anyone.

Maybe you are not fitting in because...

Often times a lot of us try unsuccessfully to fit into a certain class all because we crave to be respected and appreciated. Well how about instead of spending time trying to squeeze into a class where you will probably never be appreciated because you have nothing to offer you concentrate on using that time to develop your self as a person  so that society finds you useful and that way you find the respect and sense of self worth (value) that we all crave as human beings.  people often respect things they find useful. Stop and ask yourself what am I bringing to the table because nobody can tolerate a parasite for long, so instead of spending that money on another nice pair of dress or shoes that will make You look good on the outside and when people notice you and get closer they find out there is nothing more to you than the nice dress, take up that course that will help you communicate better, spend time or money researching your profession so you are better at your job, go on you

Show that goal who is boss

You probably started the new year with loads of new goals and ambitions for your self but are now loosing track. Well perhaps the reason you are loosing track of your goals is not because they are unachievable it could simply be a case of them being too vague with no clear cut structure on how they will be achieved in the first place. The experts recommend that when setting goals we should set them in such a way that we are actually able to measure results, take weight loss for instance don't just  say I will loose 10 kilos by the end of the first quarter of the year and randomly do stuff you think will help achieve this. You know  the big picture of course is to loose that amount of weight, now what we do is break down the big picture into smaller bits that are easily measurable so you can stay in track. Your smaller picture could include  20 sit ups before hitting the shower run 20 mins round the block 10 push ups before climbing into bed. The essence of breaking your go

I want a clutter free house

A lot of us are often overwhelmed by the state of our houses. The battle of keeping a tidy and clutter free house seems to be endless. From personal experience the key to winning this battle is simply to have a place for everything and immediately throw or give away what you don't need. Stop being sentimental about that pair of worn out shoes you have not worn  in months or years. Instead of letting your kids books litter the floor get into a good charity shop or your local furniture shop and get your self a bookshelf, have an old box where you store all their toys, get your kids involved, teach them to clean up after themselves if old enough ( I think from 3) they should be able to return every idle toy back to the toy box. The idea of having a place for everything cannot be over emphasised and please stop being sentimental about stuff you will probably never use again because that my friend is the key to a tidy and clutter free house. pic        20somethingfinance.com
