Former Beatles lead singer, 72-year old Sir Paul McCartney has been named by the Sunday Times as the richest musician in the UK, with an estimated fortune of £730 million.
He is closely followed by Lord Lloyd-Webber who has an estimated fortune of £650 million and U2 grabbing the third spot, with an estimated fortune of £431 million.
In the under-30 category, Adele topped the table with an estimated fortune of £50 million despite not having released an album in 2 years.
The boy band, One Direction ranked second with a fortune of £25 million each, and Ed Sheeran coming behind them with a fortune of £20 million .
