Why did Jeremy Kyle refuse to reunite this desperate father with a child that could potentially be his

Carter had to take matters into his own hands and search for the girl who could be his daughter

Jeremy Kyle allegedly refused to reunite both parties because Carter
refused to appear on his show

Just before Christmas last year, The Jeremy Kyle TV show (UK version of Jerry Springer show) contacted Douglas Carter with news that he could be the father of a 16-year old who had contacted the show to help look for her father.

Carter agreed to meet the girl and even offered to pay for the DNA test, but the TV show told him everything will have to be done on camera to be aired for the show.

He refused to appear on the controversial show saying to them " I have got most of my own teeth,I own my home and I have got a job so I don't fit the criteria".

The TV boss apparently did not take lightly his refusal to appear on the show and so refused to forward to him the details or put him in touch with the girl who could be his daughter.

Carter went on to search for her himself by setting up a Facebook page he called Jeremy Kyle Doesn't care.

The Facebook page went viral after more than a million people including the girl's mother viewed it.

Carter is now in contact with the girl and they are both awaiting the result from the DNA test.

However one of the representatives of the TV show has said they did not withhold information from Mr Carter, but rather they owed their contributors a duty of care and standard procedure needed to be followed before personal details can be shared.
