Two pharmacies had to be shut down following a raid by the Ministry of Health in Dubai after a regular pharmacy inspection this month.
The pharmacies were found to be in violation of federal laws relating to pharmaceutical products as unlicensed drugs such as Sildenafil, a sexual-enhancement drug, Cytotec, an abortion inducing medication and Loperamid, a drug that reduces the effect of the abortion pills were discovered among their stock.
Further investigations revealed the owners of the pharmacies were selling free samples they had obtained from Syria and Germany.
