Air France and Saudi airlines planes escorted into JFK airport by US fighter jets after threats of chemical weapon
An Air France passenger plane had to be escorted by US fighter jets into New York City where it was made to land and taxi in a remote area away from the terminal at the JFK airport because Mary Land police received an anonymous call that warned of chemical weapons threat to the plane.
The Air France flight from Paris to New York was later cleared to go on the terminal after it became clear that the threat was not credible following a detailed search.
The flight from Jeddah, a Saudi Airline had to go through the same process at the JFK airport after a similar threat to the airline.
