The American singing competition which successfully transformed the lives of some everyday people like Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Ruben Studdard, and Jordan Sparks in the pictures above into super stars is set to wave good bye to its fans around the world as it prepares for what the producers say will be the final season.
The show first aired in June of 2002 and it went on to be a huge success because of its ability to dramatically transform lives .
