It is my house and will not re-paint says home owner ordered to re-paint her home because colour offended neighbours
71-year old widow, Zipporah Lisle-Mainwaring is the owner of the house that was painted red and white (read story here) which the council ordered to be re-painted to its original colour after neighbours expressed disgust and fury.
The house which is located in Kensington is estimated to be worth £15 million and Mrs Lisle-Mainwaring has come out to say she will not re-paint the house as it is her house so can do what she pleases with it.
The house owner is appealing against the council's orders and it could take up to a year before a final decision is reached meaning angry neighbours will have to try to look away for now.
