Earlier this month Apple launched its music streaming service "Apple Music" the service will become available from June 30th as a free 3-month trial thereafter there will be a monthly subscription of $9.99.
What we didn't know was that Apple wasn't going to pay the music owners during the free trial period.
Taylor Swift took it upon herself to speak on behalf of other musicians and explain her reason for holding back her album "1989" from Apple Music.
She wrote an open letter criticising the giant company, in her letter she expressed her shock and disappointment over the fact that a company as progressive and generous as Apple decided not to pay royalties to artists, producers and writers during the trial period.
Her letter forced the tech company to backtrack on their decision, with a senior vice president of the company tweeting " Apple will pay artist for streaming even during customer's free trial period.
that is a good fight well fought and won!!!
