25 year old Chioe Haines, had to be restrained and strapped to her seat mid air after she allegedly tried to open the emergency exit door mid-flight in front of terrified passenger and apparently sent one attendant “flying across the plane” allegedly storming towards the cockpit screaming “I’m going to kill everyone”.
Two RAF Typhoon fighters were scrambled to intercept the Airbus 321 around 45 minutes into its flight from Stansted to Dalaman, Turkey
The incident sparked hijack fears among hero passengers who leapt into action despite fearing for their lives.
Miss Haines, who was travelling with her wheelchair-bound grandmother, at the time of the incident has been clobbered with £85000 fine for disruptive behaviour.
However, some passengers who helped restrain Miss Haines have said they would like to see some of the money go to them as Jet2 only gave them complimentary drinks for their efforts in restraining the disruptive passenger, which is not good enough.
