A 35 year - old man named as Edward Harrison from Glasgow flew into rage as he turned on his girlfriend Frances Ferguson at her home in Glasgow’s Blackhill in April after believing she broke the government’s imposed lockdown rules to be with other men.
He trashed her car before attacking three police officers when they turned up to tackle him.
Harrison faces jail after he admitted acting in a threatening manner, three assaults as well as dangerous driving.
He had initially been living with 30 year-old mum Miss Ferguson during lockdown but left only to return in the early hours of the morning on the day of the attack.
He smashed a Ford Ecosport outside with a pole before police arrived.
Harrison jumped into a Ford Kuga, which he soon crashed after losing control.
After getting out the car, he screamed at officers: “You want to fight? Come on then.”
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard crazed Harrison bit and kicked one female officer, hit another and then booted and punched a male constable.
His defence lawyer said Harrison reckoned he had earlier been “taunted” by Miss Ferguson on social media about another man.
He added: “She broke the lockdown rules at an early stage to be with another man and this put the safety of his family at risk which according to him was the last straw which made him angry and upset.
